Global recently acquired the sole patent ownership of specific KVT Technologies' (a subsidiary of Branson Ultrasonics Corporation and a division of Emerson Electric Canada Limited,) technology used in automotive plastic joining applications.

This technology includes boring units, spin welding units, and hotplate welding units, along with advanced controls for precision applications. Global will use this technology in a wide variety of applications, but mostly for the worldwide plastic fuel tank industry to provide customers with proven solutions that supplement Global, and its manufacturing partners, current technological abilities.

With this acquisition, coupled with in-house existing proprietary products and technology, Global can provide industry leading solutions to numerous applications including: Ultrasonics, Vibration Welding, Laser IRAM Welding, Hot Plate Welding, Spin Welding, Textile and Film Sealing, and Thermal Welding.
